Here's everything you need to know about this picture

Full disclosure: Okay, let's be real: I love the stuff I share, and sometimes I get a little kickback if you buy it. But don't worry, it won't cost you extra and it helps fund my coloring obsession! Win-win!

I made a mistake...

I forgot to tape the edges.

Here's what I learned!

The result? Uneven borders that took away from the final look.

Lesson learned: taping the edges makes a huge difference. Using artist tape or washi tape helps create clean, crisp lines and gives your project a much more professional finish.  They come in different sizes.  I prefer at least a half-inch wide to give a nice border around my project while securing the paper to my desk or clipboard so it stays secure.

You'll want a set with a a brush nib.

The larger the set you get, the more you'll be able to shade.  I found a generic brand for a great price.  If you want to make sure you get a quality brand you'll want to try Ohuhu or Copic.
