Here's everything you need to know about this picture

Full disclosure: Okay, let's be real: I love the stuff I share, and sometimes I get a little kickback if you buy it. But don't worry, it won't cost you extra and it helps fund my coloring obsession! Win-win!

I made some mistakes...

You will see where I got a little sloppy around the hair, and some obvious lines, especially on the shirt.

Here's what I learned!

I’m still learning how to use markers, and this page reflects that process. You may notice some areas—especially around the hair—where I rushed a bit and could have been more intentional. That’s a reminder for me to slow down and be present with the process.

You’ll also see visible marker lines. Markers, like colored pencils, are meant to be layered, and that’s a technique I’m continuing to practice. With layering, those lines soften and blend more naturally. Learning this takes time, and that’s part of the journey.

You'll want a set with a a brush nib.

The larger the set you get, the more you'll be able to shade.  I found a generic brand for a great price.  If you want to make sure you get a quality brand you'll want to try Ohuhu or Copic.
